STEP 1

Enter your assumptions

Set province, retirement age, account balances, CPP/OAS, pension, and spending in the panel on the left.

STEP 2

Review the results

The summary, withdrawal chart, and yearly table update live as you change inputs — income by source, tax, and net cash each year.

STEP 3

Adjust and compare

Try the Optimize toggles to search withdrawal policies, sustainable income, and CPP/OAS start ages together. Save scenarios to compare side by side.

Compliance & Warnings

Withdrawal policies are searched over the complete plan, prioritizing sustainable spending, then lifetime tax plus estimated tax on remaining assets. This bounded search is not a guaranteed global optimum. Terminal tax assumes final-year liquidation, without spouse rollovers; it is a comparison estimate, not an actual withdrawal or an estate-tax calculation.
CPP/OAS estimates are entered in 2026 dollars and projected at 2% per year, even when spending inflation is off. OAS includes a permanent 10% increase from age 75. Annual age bands approximate quarterly OAS indexation and birthday-month timing; future CPI is assumed, not published.
Assumes RRSP conversion at the end of age 71, with RRIF minimum payments from age 72. Future tax thresholds and TFSA limits are projections, not published schedules.
Provincial tax estimates use 2025/2026 annual schedules, age and pension credits. Assumes one adult with no spouse/dependant claims; refundable benefits, drug premiums, and Quebec living-alone credits are excluded.
Pension-credit eligibility follows the selected income type: employer lifetime pensions at any age; RRIF/LIF and RRSP annuities normally at 65, with specified spouse-death exceptions. Ordinary RRSP draws, CPP and OAS do not qualify federally. Non-Quebec provincial claims are capped by the federal $2,000 claim. Quebec separately includes RRSP payments, RRIF/LIF and eligible annuities at any age, subject to its retirement-amount limit and income phaseout. The pension field represents one selected income type; mixed income and tax-treaty cases need separate treatment.

This model uses 2025 federal and provincial tax schedules (selected province), with the federal lowest bracket at 14.5% for the 2025 base year and 14% (indexed ~2%/yr) thereafter, plus CPP/OAS deferral factors, RRIF & LIF minimum schedules, the 2025 OAS recovery tax, and the age and pension income credits. It is an educational estimate for planning — not personalized financial or tax advice.
